Energy Blend
- Taurine (Amino Acid) is naturally occurring substance present in meat, fish and dairy products. Has been clinically shown to reduce sleepiness and sleep-related traffic accidents. It is widely known to improve mental performance, reaction time, concentration and memory. Vitamin B6 is required by the body to synthesize Taurine from other nutrients. Adult humans have high concentrations of Taurine in white blood cells, skeletal muscles, the heart and central nervous system.
- L-Carnitine (Amino Acid) increases energy for long-term aerobic activity, improves fat-burning and energy supply in the heart muscles. L-Carnitine is an amino acid in the natural L form which is the most effective form of Carnitine. It metabolises food into energy. L-Carnitine aids in the release of stored body fat, into the bloodstream for energy. It transfers long-chain fatty acids, such as triglycerides into mitochondria (cellular power plants), where they may be oxidised to produce energy. It is naturally found in avocados, dairy products and red meats.
- Glucuronolactone is a natural metabolite found in the human body. Glucoronolactone has been clinically shown to reduce sleepiness and sleep-related traffic accidents. It is widely known to improve mental performance, reaction time, concentration and memory.
- Inositol is a fundamental ingredient of all cell membranes and is necessary for proper nerve, brain, and muscle function. Therefore our bodies need inositol to function properly. Choline and inositol combine to produce lecithin which helps to prevent high cholesterol. It is said to have a calming effect on the nervous system and is therefore being studied for a possible treatment for nerve related illnesses such as depression, panic attacks and Alzheimer's disease. Inositol compounds have demonstrated qualities needed in the prevention and treatment of cancer.
- Maltodextrin is a complex carbohydrate that greatly helps individuals perform better and last longer to cope with the demands of heavily strenuous activities. Despite being a carbohydrate, it functions more by rapidly degrading the enzymatic process. Maltodextrin supplements are usually added to beverages in order to quickly replenish carbohydrate stores that may have been depleted during exercise.
Herbal Performance Enhancers
- Siberian Ginseng has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 2000 years. Siberian ginseng, can boost energy, sharpen mental concentration, and help every athlete to improve strength and stamina. Extensive studies show that Siberian Ginseng enhances immunity, increases strength, stimulates sexual function, improves sleep, helps the body during times of oxygen deprivation, enhances cardiovascular function, improves overall athletic performance, and sharpens mental alertness. Probably more than any other herb ever studied, Siberian Ginseng demonstrates the capacity to improve all aspects of human performance.
- Green Tea (anti-oxidant) is one of the most powerful antioxidant and has been subjected to many scientific and medical studies to determine the extent of its long-purported health benefits, with some evidence suggesting regular green tea drinkers may have lower chances of heart disease and developing certain types of cancer. Green tea has also been claimed as useful for "weight loss” management. To sum up, here are just a few medical conditions in which drinking green tea is reputed to be helpful with: cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, high cholesterol levels, cardiovascular disease, infection, impaired immune function.
Vitamins
- Vitamin B6 helps our nervous system function properly. Required for the production of haemoglobin, the compound in red blood cells that transports oxygen and carbon dioxide. Increases the amount of oxygen carried in our blood. Helps maintain a healthy immune system. Aids in the processing of carbohydrates for energy.
- Vitamin B12, like other B-complex vitamins, is involved in a variety of important functions. Perhaps its most important function is the development of red blood cells. Another is the development of nerve cells. B12 also participates in the production of amino acids, and the processing of carbohydrates into energy.
- Vitamin B3 - Niacin is important in energy production. It plays a key role in converting fats, proteins, carbohydrates and starches into usable energy. It also helps remove toxic chemicals from the body, and has been shown to increase the level of HDL (good cholesterol) in the blood. Food sources of Niacin include: meat and dairy products, leafy vegetables, broccoli, tomatoes, avocados, nuts and whole grains.
- Vitamin B9 - Folic acid, or folate, helps produce and maintain new cells in our bodies. It’s also needed to make DNA and RNA, the building blocks of cells. It works with vitamins B12 and vitamin C to break down proteins and form haemoglobin. It’s very important in pregnancy and preventing birth defects. Folic acid deficiency has been linked with irritability, mental fatigue, forgetfulness, confusion, depression, muscular weakness and insomnia. Food sources of folate include leafy green vegetables, fruits, dried beans and peas.
- Vitamin B5 - Pathothenic acid helps our nervous system function properly. Required for the production of haemoglobin, the compound in red blood cells that transports oxygen and carbon dioxide.
- Vitamin B2 is an essential nutrient in human nutrition and plays a key role in the production of energy. It is essential for healthy skin and general good health, including regulating thyroid activity. Vitamin B2 is needed to process amino acids and fats, activate vitamin B6 and B9(folic acid) and help convert carbohydrates into the fuel the body runs on. Under some conditions, vitamin B2 can act as an antioxidant.
