Wooden Spoon - Four Peaks Challenge 2011
Back in June we provided a determined team of 16 charity fundraisers (pictured) with a few boxes of Kendal Mint Cake to take on 4 huge mountains in the space of 48 hours! Phew!
Not only did they succeed in their challenge, but they overshot their goal, raising a total of £18,755.42 for the Wooden Spoon charity! The climbed over 4,200 metres to the summits of Ben Nevis, Helvellyn, Snowdon and Carantouhill within a 2-day period, including a 1,000 mile drive between locations.
If that's not impressive enough - they did all this during one of the drearier periods of our Great British Summer this year. We've been told the mint cake was a real help keeping them going, so we're glad to have been able to help in some way!
