Job Description

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and hardworking Warehouse Operative Apprentice to join Candy Hero, a successful wholesale confectionery and snack distributor. We need you to help make our warehouse operation a continued success.

We aim to operate an efficient and accurate goods in, storage, and fulfilment environment, serving our customers in the UK, Europe and throughout the world.

Successful applicants must be enthusiastic about warehousing and distribution and have good levels of manual dexterity, great focus, concentration and a high work rate and take pride in their work, being accurate, diligent, punctual, flexible and hard working.

Our warehouse and head office is located in BD5, Bradford, near the start of the M606 motorway with excellent transport links.

Description of Duties

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Accurately picking and packing a wide range of sweets, snacks, groceries, and drinks for shipping worldwide.
• Safely stacking cartons and crates onto pallets to ship to our wholesale clients in the UK and Europe.
• Loading and unloading transport with consignments of stock.
• Processing goods coming into the warehouse, indexing expiry dates, and safely stocking up storage locations.
• Using in-house software systems, computers, and barcode scanners to carry out mission-critical warehouse operations.
• Ensuring high levels of stock-keeping accuracy with great admin skill and precision.
• Maintaining an organised, safe and well stocked warehouse.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday in 6-hour days, including time for coursework.
