Job Description

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join Candy Hero, a successful wholesale confectionery and snack distributor. We need you to help make our warehouse operation a continued success.

We aim to operate an efficient and accurate goods in, storage, and fulfilment environment, serving our customers in the UK, Europe and throughout the world.

Successful applicants must be passionate about great leadership, enthusiastic about distribution, have good levels of manual dexterity, great focus, concentration, a high work rate, and take pride in their work, being accurate, diligent, punctual, flexible and hard working.

Our warehouse and head office is located in BD5, Bradford, near the start of the M606 motorway with excellent transport links.

Description of Duties

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Leading a team, ensuring happiness, quality of work, and motivation.
• Provide training, feedback, and recognition to team members.
• Working with managers to share progress towards objectives and key results.
• Being dynamic, as new customer-focussed innovations are added to the business.
• Accurately picking, packing, and shipping cartons to worldwide destinations.
• Safely stacking a cartons and crates onto pallets to reach destinations safely.
• Loading and unloading transport.
• Processing inbound goods, indexing expiry dates, and safely stocking up storage slots.
• Using in-house software, touchscreens, and barcode scanners.
• Ensuring high levels of accuracy and dilligence.
• Maintaining an organised and safe warehouse by following procedures.
• Following all company health and safety policy.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday in 10-hour blocks, between 07:00-18:00, usually just 4 shifts per week.
• Annualised hours contract with 2,130 hours per year including holiday.
